We have a lot of members that have a common goal: homeschooling their child. When you sit down and chat with one another, you realize that each journey is different. Anyway, here is a question that I have asked multiple times and here are some answers. I hope it helps you if you decide to jump in the world of homeschooling.
I want to know…what would be the best piece of advice that someone gave you when you started in your homeschooling journey?
*Don’t stress and try to make it like a public school day. Your days will be different and that’s OK!
*Don’t worry. Just remember that the beauty of homeschooling is that it does not and should not look like public school. (That one was very hard for me after teaching PS for 10 yrs.)
* I faced opposition and did not get much advise at the beginning. But if anything I’ve learned from the awesome group here is that Homeschooling is a choose your own adventure! Your adventure will not be someone else’s.
*Trust your ability to do what is best for your children.
* “Your worst day of homeschool is still better than your best day of public school” – by a public school teacher who formerly homeschooled her children.
