    Homemade Pasta

        In cooking class we try to show kids that its easy to do things that they otherwise thought might be difficult. A few of our younger kids just didn’t believe that they could make pasta themselves. It is so rewarding for them to see that they can accomplish something new and sometimes difficult to them. Some of them were so happy they wanted to take some home for mom and dad. While others wanted to have seconds and thirds!     I’m So Thankful For Our ARCH Family!

    Last week someone asked me why I felt the need to belong to a home school co-op. I listed a few of my favorite reasons to them, not that I felt the need to justify what we do with our time. But because more people need to know the benefits of belonging to a co-op. At the time, my favorite reasons were the availability of classes and activities my children could be involved in.     Walking Tacos & Homemade Taco Seasoning

    Our first cooking class, we made walking tacos. I know, some of you are wondering what that is! Don’t feel left out, because I went strait to google the first time somebody  mentioned them to me! I thought they would be perfect for the kids  to make,  so they could customize their taco any way they wanted. The older class browned our beef, and each of the kids measured out the seasonings for our tacos. Each child had a vegetable to cut up, using their  “kids in the kitchen knives”.
